I have a Moslem son in law so you can start with a clean slate with me.

A college classmate married a muslim guy from Jordan last year. She has kept her Christian faith and does not plan on changing-she is not real religious anyway and neither is he. I always thought muslims did not drink but there was some drunk ones at the wedding. Must be like any religion some more serious than others.

Did your daughter become a muslim?..no hate, just curious more than anything.

She has not officially, but she does observe many of their
traditions, mostly just to get along with his family. Not to
say that they would be hostile towards her if she did not.
It is more of a “when in Rome” kind of thing. I really like
her in laws, very friendly and respectable. The wedding was
in a Mosque and we were made to feel like honored guests.

Muslim men are free to marry Christian or Jewish women, and they are not required to convert. This is not the case with Muslim women and Christian or Jewish men, however. And the children of a mixed marriage must be raised as Muslims.
