"They aren't quite big enough to use the 12 gauge."

My dog has met his nemesis.

He picked up a toad 1 time and that was enough. Now he just barks and paws at them.

Here in Tampa we’ve had 8 inch of rain in the last 24 hours. Still coming down hard so the skeeters haven’t been much of a problem. I think I have a few frogs in my garage though.

I knew this was your thread before clicking through.

Any early summer photos to share?

Those big skeeters can be quite pesky!

I haven't been out much, except to the eye doctor. I'm about finished with that and good to go!

Great Egret, Ardea alba

They aren't quite big enough to use the 12 gauge.

Try a 410.

I have been texting with friends down there whom we visited just two weeks ago. They have a retention pond behind their house that is near to overflowing. Glad you all aren’t getting hit dead on.

I’m in north Pinellas, and we got HAMMERED yesterday. I actually came into the office this morning, and half of our parking lot is under water. I’m starting to wonder why I came in.

Swampsniper’s beautiful pictures are always appreciated here. As is the gardening thread, word for the day etc. Proof that conservatives have normal lives. At DU aparently all they do is rant.

I thought more toads equals fewer mosquitoes.

Try a Ruger 10/22 with a 25 round banana mag! It makes it easier for the birds to pick up later...

Wow.....what a great shot!!! Pardon my ignorance, and I assume your screen name provides the answer....but do you really live IN a swamp?...or just near one? I’d think living in a swamp would be...um...interesting. :)

The frogs are happy because they can once again retire at age 60...
