he doesnt LIKE to have to stick his nose in the corners of the cat dish. He needs us to push the remaining kibbles into the middle, then we can go back to sleep."
Holy moly....I thought mine were the only ones who did that!!!! Couldn't you put the food in a plate before going to bed?
My cat reaches in and pulls the kibbles out and onto the floor. Then he eats one and pulls out a dozen more. Rinse and repeat.

Or . . . put pill inside medium size chunk of cooked white chicken breast meat. Yell, "Food for kitty!" and throw cicken chunk in the air. Kitty catches and eats meat, including pill. Method devised by Mrs. Sivana and thousands of other clever wives. That's a bit different from my method. I pry open the cat's mouth, drop the pill in, and administer a kitty treat as soon as said cat swallows the pill.
I had a cat who would run to the kitchen for his pill any time someone went in that direction. We had to be careful not to overdrug him.

OMG, where do those worms live, so I NEVER go there? (Im not clicking on that link!) Guinea worm disease still occurs in extremely poor African countries--Sudan, Chad, Mali, and Ethiopia--although at a fraction of the rate it used to occur, because of an ongoing eradication campaign. There is more information about the campaign at that link. Dracunculiasis (the scientific name) no longer exists in many countries where it used to be endemic.
I'm fascinated by gross pictures; I found those Guinea worm pictures years ago. There's a reason I became a life scientist! :)

Cat dish is on top of cabinet. Kitty tends to get sloppy with standard plate, kibbles fall on floor. Small dog LOVES cat food. That's the main reason why we use the standard cat dish with the square bowl shape.
