When we lived in PA I met a woman who said while joking around in bed she put her silky nightgown down over her husband's head..... and he liked it. Eventually the story morphed into how they would go shopping together for lingerie pretending it was for her, but it was really for him. (Ok, I'll give you a moment to stop gagging/laughing - whichever)
Edwards reminds me of that type of she-man.
