Agree totally. But how did they determine drunkenness, I wonder? If we use Proverbs 23:29ff as a standard, then their definition would largely be what we describe as an alcoholic.

Looking at Ecclesiastes, and knowing there is nothing new under the sun; I would say they used the same way that we do today.
