Mosins are cheap. That’s why I chose this one to have fun with. If I screw it up, no big loss.

Mosins typically sell for $90-100 bucks these days.

Plus shipping, and transfer fees to your local FFL dealer.

Or, do what I did, get a C&R FFL, and they can ship direct to you. . . .

Don't forget ammo ! 7.62x51R is typically ~$90 for a "spam can" of 880 rounds. . . .

Check your local dealers and gun shows. I paid just a tad over $100 (that includes the tax) for each of mine.

You'll find the 91-30s going for anywhere from $79 - $130. The M44s are slightly more.

This article will give you a good idea what to expect.
