The story ends with "More to come...", which probably means they're checking the books to find out the record for most pitchers involved in a no-no.

8 innings and no hits. So the Dodgers get a couple of walks.

Since they are no hit, the Dodgers decide to waste an out and sacrifice the guy over to third.

Good move. There are 9 ways to score from third with less than two outs.

So, the guy hits a short fly to left. Sac fly is one way to score. Since you are no hit through 8 this is why you sacrificed the guy to third.

So, the coach holds the dude. No attempt to score!!!

What, you need a base hit for him to score??? Why did you sacrifice him to third?? No hits through 8.

Tag him up and send him in!!!It takes a perfect throw to get him. No hits through 8!!!

UGH

no yitbos

So in order to get a "no-no", the pitcher (or pitchers) has to get 27 batters "out-out" without giving up a "hit-hit".

“Elian Herrera then lined out to Ryan before Ethier’s grounder ended the first no-hitter for the Mariners since Chris Bosio pitched one against Boston on April 22, 1993. Seattle’s other no-hitter was thrown by Randy Johnson against Detroit on June 2, 1990.”
3 No hitters hitters since 1990 but Mets have one since 1962( Last Night Santana gave up Back to back to back homers to Yankees).
...Waiting for San Diego.
