In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
enjoin (en-JOIN) verb tr.
1. To order or prescribe a course of action.
2. To forbid or restrain.
Example sentences:
"Ajanlekoko enjoined the members of the Building Collapse Prevention Guild (BCPG) to continue the struggle."
---Okwy Iroegbu-Chikezie; Group Advises Govt on Building Failures; The Nation (Lagos, Nigeria); May 22, 2012.
"It asks a court to declare the ordinance invalid and enjoin the city from enforcing it."
---Bruce Vielmetti; Hispanic Group Sues Over Milwaukee Contracting Rule; The Journal Sentinel (Milwaukee, Wisconsin); May 1, 2012.
Etymology:
A contranym or word with contrary meanings. Sometimes the meanings are as diverse as black and white (cleave: to split, to stick), but often they are in shades of gray. From Old French enjoindre, from Latin injungere (to join), from in- (towards) + jungere (to join). Ultimately from the Indo-European root yeug- (to join), which is also the ancestor of junction, yoke, yoga, adjust, juxtapose, junta, syzygy, jugular, and rejoinder. Earliest documented use: around 1225.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

Any day now. A for you.
A for the colorful example.
It looks like the Devils were enjoin hockey season too much to let it end last night.
I enjoin you to use the word “kraken”.
In this article, “Wallker, Unbowed” http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2892534/posts the National Review said, “Walkers enemies did everything but release the kraken.”
Look it up. I’ve never heard of this word (myth) before, but it looks like kraken will be a useful and exciting addition to my vocabulary, and I enjoin everyone to use it.
One of my pictures keeps switching back and forth, but the other is holding firm. Look up kraken. Everyone should have kraken in their vocabulary. And, the National Review is right. The leftists and unionistas did unleash everything except the kraken.
One of the commenters on the Walker, Unbowed thread said that kraken can only be found on sea coasts. But, they forget that Wisconsin has three “coasts” — Lake Michigan on the east, Lake Superior on the north, and the Mighty Mississippi on the west. However, I suspect that most of our kraken hang out in Dane County (Madison) in Lake Mendota. They lurk there just waiting to pounce on Republicans to make them faint heated and to turn their votes around.
Death to the kraken.

I didn’t want to see them swept because I like Parise. A for you and yay! More hockey!
We have used that phrase here for a long time. Unleash the Kraken! Or Release the Kraken! I think we first heard it in a heavy metal song years ago. A+ for you!
Yup. Nothing quite like watching blue on blue action.
Rat fight!
I’ve never heard it before. I think it is priceless!
ROR!
Michelle should enjoin her husband from making such crass remarks.
