I believe gaydar, as with most intuitive skills, is necessarily based on exposure to the subject of conjecture. I live in Atlanta, a gay mecca, perhaps second only to SF, percentage-wise. Thus, I have met plenty of them. One or two, certainly not many, have become sorta friends.
But, believe me, my gaydar works with the precision of a satellite guided missile. I am rarely wrong because here, at least, they make little attempt to hide it. And, you can tell in other very subtle ways.
I don’t hate gays. I really think they were born that way. The statistical prevalence of homosexuality in all cultures is about the same: one to 3 %.
Research has shown (I have no link since I don’t truly care that much) that if your mom’s sister is a lesbian, chances are you or a sibling will be gay. Sounds like genetics to me.
Obviously, I despise the “in your face” promiscuity of some of these folks, and their demands to change the historical meaning of marriage.
I know many (most) of you disagree with the “born that way” approach, but why else would anyone engage in such disgusting behavior?
The bisexuals are the epitome of perverts.

Well, after I read my post, as posted, I realized that I misstated something: Pedophiles and those who engage in bestiality are the true perverts. I was just keeping the above comment within the realm of “legal” behavior between adults.
