HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Two-time Emmy-winning actress Patricia Heaton received the 2,472nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday.

Both of her television husbands were on hand to help her celebrate the special honor. Actor Ray Romano from the series “Everybody Loves Raymond” and actor Neil Flynn from “The Middle” joined Heaton’s real-life husband, actor David Hunt, for the ceremony.

“It was pretty overwhelming. I didn’t think I would be as moved as I was,” Heaton said.

Romano joked during his speech that two actors from “Everybody Loves Raymond” received stars now, while he has not.

“Before I go on, I just want to ask the committee, you guys have my number right? You know my phone number, I was on the show. I’m Raymond,” Romano said.

Romano called Heaton the best wife in television.

“My character was all so neurotic and weird, and she was the grounding center, the voice of reason,” Romano said. “The show worked because of her. I never told her that then because I wanted the money.”

“Raymond” co-stars Brad Garrett and Doris Roberts were also on hand, as well as one of her sons on “The Middle,” Atticus Shaffer.

Heaton said she never imagined that she would have a star on the Walk of Fame.

“God has been gracious enough to me to open some doors, and by God, I mean, of course, Ray Romano,” Heaton said.

Heaton received seven Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Debra Barone on the 1996-2005 CBS comedy “Everybody Loves Raymond,” winning as best actress in a comedy in 2000 and again in 2001. City News Service contributed to this report.

“My character was all so neurotic and weird, and she was the grounding center, the voice of reason...”

Doesn't that pretty much sum up all the "male" characters on TV now?
