Yep ... it's on eBay
Up for sale is a one of a kind, original SR-71 Blackbird vertical tail rudder. A great addition to anyone's hanger and for the avid collector.

Drat. Wish I had a spare million sitting around. Wonder if Obama would float me a stimulus loan.

Finally that part has come available! I’ll be off the ground in less than a week after delivery...and THEN you’d better watch out.

With your luck it’s a -2 and you need a -1.

Found an old image of 17955 with the skunkworks emblem on there as well just like the ebay listing.

You can see the fuel leaking on the wing top surface. The plane has to get up to speed to seal up.
That tail fin had better be “sanitized”.

Look at photos 19 and above. They have the emblem.

I was just about to transfer the necessary funds into my Paypal account. For half the cost I'll go and lop off the section you need from the one we have in Richmond. I will need payment in advance in case of 'legal' questions.

Some parts of the Blackbird were made from pretty exotic materials and this may be a factor in the price.

Its either a SR-71B or SR-71C, of which there are only one of each left.
There was one A-12 2 seat trainer, called the Titanium Goose. This picture isn't it.
