They’ll keep just about forever, as long as you keep them dry.

I have a gallon jar, almost full, of ground habeneros that I’ve had for 3 years and they are still good and still very potent.

About a half teaspoon in a pot of chili makes it deliciously hot, a full rounded teaspoon in the same size pot and I can’t eat it.

I will still mail some to anyone interested and will FReepmail me a mailing address. Free, I even pay the postage.

What did you do to dry the habeneros out?

I’ve got a bunch that will need to be pulled up (I just grow them to keep the tree rats out of the tomatoes, and I need to change out the growth medium before I start new tomatoes in the fall). I was thinking about putting them in the sun oven with the lid cracked like I do for drying herbs.
