Dont know if its worth the time, but his estimate of 50 bucks a week at a dollar an hour for a minimum job vs 7.50 minimum wage now is a 7.5 ratio.

The price of gold was $34.72 an ounce in 1950, the price of gold now is around $1600.00, a 46 ratio. Divide 46 by 7.5 and you find, based on the cost of gold that in 1950, prices were 6.1 times LOWER than now.

Second easy one to refute is that they say that the IQ level is higher, but in 1950, we would not have voted for Obama, a unknown, foreign born Muslim man when we are at war with Islam. Proving that while the IQ may be higher, the Wisdom is sorely lacking. What good is IQ if kids are taught how to masturbate in school instead of think and reason?

I would gladly turn this nation back to the 1950's, when gumchewing and talking were high crimes in school, not rape and murder, we as a Nation trusted God and people respected Morality instead of power and wealth.

Its a no brainer, suitable for even us low IQ types.

Its better than that.

In the early 60's my dad made $400/month in gold that was about 11 1/2 ounces of gold. An equivalent amount today is 3,400/month ($40,000/yr) is a little over 2 ounces of gold.

The damage to the economy seen by goverment spending is pretty clear when measured in gold.

Going to be a bit pricey to install all those "colored" bathrooms and water fountains again.

"In 1954, the cost of a high-end Westinghouse color TV, with a massive 15-inch screen, was $1,295. No, not adjusted for inflation. That was the actual price at the time..."

Which might explain why I never saw a color TV until I came back from Vietnam very late in '69.

Otherwise, I was OK with the article up to the IQ claim:
My SAT test results in 1961 were precisely equal to my MSAT test scores in 1976.
I felt real good until I read the fine print and learned that 99 in 1961 equaled about 80 in '76.
