“Calling them “Polish” death camps is an implicit smear against the Polish people.”

It’s not that the president so obviously misspoke, it’s his narcissistic refusal to stand up and say, “Oh crap, I’m terribly sorry. I didn’t mean it that way,” for the good of diplomacy. It tells us a lot about why this man must go. It’s all about Obama not the diplomatic good of the country.

A handshake and some kind public words would have gone a long way to smoothing things over. There would have been no story.

Obama is so used to the media covering for him he is probably surprised that anyone is even aware of his gaffe.

He could care less about what the Poles think, unless it threatens his re-election. A lot of Polish-Americans live in Illinois and Michigan and he probably considers those states totally safe for himself in November.

Anyway the Poles should be grateful that his uncle single-handedly liberated Auschwitz.
