My main reason for an upgrade is btrfs.

This precludes use of the pre-upgrade and yum option. I'll be doing a complete re-install from scratch.

It also means that I am going to hold off just a little while longer until the fsck tool for btrfs is finalized. If it is done before F18, I'll upgrade then.

I'm currently on F15. I did not go to F16 as I use this laptop for work as well, and really do not want to upgrade it all the time, having to re-install/re-configure for my work's environment all the time. :)

Fedora upgrades are a big pain in the rear.

I tried and failed upgrades in the past.
only solution is to get a clean install ... but then you need to move your software, data, files, email settings, etc.

I’m typing this from F14 release because of that painage.
It’s not just the release but the 1,000 or so pieces of softare you end up adding that makes your environment.

If someone has a magic upgrade button, I’m all ears.
