Doesn’t this come back to the difference between a “Certificate of Live Birth”, and a “Birth Certificate”. It seems probable that Obama was born* — and that’s all a COLB verifies.
(* You could make arguments for “hatched”, “cloned”, “stitched together and zapped by lightening”, or any number of alternatives to “born” — but, that is another discussion.)
