Thanks for posting this! Very cool!
Great pic...I love it....And with views of the ocean?
Lemme find my check book.
The ‘pictures’ are seen through the windows and change according to the sun. Unique just like Dick Clark!
Don't bother, I already bought it with cash. :)
What a great style...Up on a hill+views to the ocean...
Close to perfect in my eyes.
To me, also!
Was he mentally ill?
far from it...he had enough money to be whimsical and take the top off a mountain (estimated worth when he passed 200 million)
No; just very rich. And a wee-tad-bit eccentric.
Me, too. For something that, I guess, is unique it is very bland.

Maybe it was his wife’s idea and he just went along with it. I’m sure she had some input into its design.
I hope whoever buys it keeps the house. It would be a shame to doze such a unique place. But I would think folks with that sort of taste are far and few between.
Or maybe put the real house somewhere else, and leave this as the guest house. Although I imagine it sits at the best viewpoint of the property.
Every once in awhile I’ll work at an old 1950-1970’s home on a prime piece of real estate on the water. Beautiful old homes with nice architecture, materials, etc. But buying that type of property for the millions it costs (Seattle), the outdated 5000 sf homes with a small pool just don’t cut it.
Can you imagine trying to keep that think clean with all the cracks and crevices??? Whoa!
One would have to be deranged fool to bulldoze such an extremely unique home, formally owned by icon Dick Clark, complete with with 360* views of Malibu, the Pacific and the mountains.
Obama joins the Tea Party and NRA before that happens.
I guess the Dick Clark thing might be the thing, but I have seen lots of “unique” homes that just sit on the market. Around here when folks plunk down that much money, they want THEIR dream house to live in.
Would make a great getaway spot. Too bad my millions are tied up in Weimar Republic bonds.
Thanks Doogle.
My goodness, some people live well.
I’d freak if I came across a rattler...LMAO
