OK then I'll prove such.
Ordinary Letter: Used pen/pencil and paper and was hand delivered. Slow and turn around time for a reply could be as much as a month or more. If you wanted to send the same info to someone else who lived elsewhere you had to send another letter.
Telegram: Used Paper plus transferred signal across wires thus allowing for greater speed but still had to be hand delivered so reply time could still take awhile because courier had to locate recipient and you still had to send a copy to each person you wanted to send the info too also was a good deal more expensive. Yet is was an advancement over a letter because of greater speed. (one of the huge advantages the North had in the Civil War.)
Two way Radio Communication: Instant communication allowing for quick exchange of info/ Downside was anyone could listen in on exchange who had a radio and was in range. Also weather and sunspots could severely affect transmission. But as far as speed was a great leap in communication advancement. Also allowed the same message to be sent to multiple listeners simultaneously.
Telephone: Instant two way communication over long distances and much more secure than two way radio. Huge advancement in communication because eventually nearly 100 percent of homes were wired for phones in the first world countries. For years lacked multi level communication until digital age but still is clunky system wishing to allow multiple users to communicate at the same time.
Internet/Email: Huge improvement over letters and telegrams via near instantaneous transmission of text and photo communications to multiple users However the size of associated photo files were limited by most ISPs and with such limitations making transmission of video virtually impossible.
Internet/Voicechat: True multiuser Voice Communication limited by the software and incompatibility built into each software package.
Internet/Facebook: Total Network capability. Facilitating all of the advantages of Text, video, photo and voice communications in one package. Allowing you to drag and drop any link picture video or text into an instant chat or a bulletin board or your own Facebook Webpage. No programming language needed just basic keyboard commands. Allows you to upload pictures videos and text files instantly and share with literally Millions of people or if you choose just a few friends.
Now try and convince ANYONE with basic intelligence how Facebook isn't an advance in Communications.
Most of what FB does is unnecessary for anything important, it is mostly dealing with putting up personal information, which frankly, most other people don't care about.
You really are deluded.
