The manufacturer of a popular set of Oklahoma City Thunder t-shirts has become a target for apparent death threats from some bitter Seattle fans.
Why? Warpaint Clothing used the former Seattle SuperSonics logo and took a cheap shot at the fact that the franchise left the Pacific northwest for OKC.
The team left Seattle in 2008, but anger remains, and Warpaint has decided to stop selling the shirts because of death threats sent its way in reaction

Why not keep the name "Supersonics"? They had a proud history, IIRC.
Death threats?
Over t-shirts?
Seriously?
If true, some people need to go to jail for a long, long time.
the Occupier/Anarchist mindset must have really infected Seattle by now
That said, if you don't understand the use of the name "Thunder" you've never experienced an Oklahoma thunderstorm.
No problem. We've got a really good bassitball team here, and they all seem like pretty good guys too at least as far as I can tell. We're having a blast watching them play.
Looks like your guys are going to defeat the L.A. Rapers.
Add "unhinged" descriptor now to their "delusional whining loser" rep.
Up next the San Antonio Spurs. Sunday nite 7:30 our time.
After the game there was a shooting in the street 8 people hurt.
I guess the Sonic’s brought some of their quality fan’s with them.
Durantula is awesome. (Kevin Durant)
Seattle ... jet aircraft ... Supersonics
OKC ... tornados and other storms ... Thunder
Hell, the Lakers kept the nickname that was borne when the franchise was in Minneapolis, which, apparently, has lots of lakes. Does Los Angeles?
My point exactly.
And the Brooklyn Trolley Car Dodgers becames...
Lol...I read the last part of your post as...has what it takes..instead of..has lots of lakes. The answer is NO for LA on both counts. Gotta get ready for the office.
Don’t forget your glasses. :-)
I think the shirts are hilarious! The maker should grow a spine and keep selling them.
Liz Warren says she’s an Okie down to her toes. Who does she cheer for (she should be asked) if the final is Bos Celtics vs OKC Thunder?
Look at the logo—there’s a building on the right which intersects with one of the “lines” of a basketball. It makes that part look like a cross.
LA has one but it’s dry.
I think as a light concession to places that previously paid the extortion of building a new stadium the team name is now owned by that city. IIRC it’s only been around for the past couple of decades.
Lol...the sad part is I had them on.
