I thought it was so cool that even after all the bad blood in Pink Floyd that he and David Gilmour got back together and made some really great music together.
I have the "Live at Gdansk" DVD. and when Richard played those first few pings to "Echoes" it sent shivers down my spine.

Richard Wright may be the most underrated rock keyboardist of all time. Not the least bit flashy, he was OK with setting "the mood" and is probably more responsible for the "Pink Floyd Sound" than anyone else.
But I can't imagine any of their songs without him.
