I’ve never understood the standards here. We’re allowed to show a crucifix in urine and call it art. We’re allowed to show the Virgin Mary with dung on her image. And that’s art, and nobody is supposed to say anything.
But it’s a terrible offense against Islam to show the image of Mohammed. And we’re not supposed to do that, so as not to offend Muslims. But we are allowed to deeply offend Christians by showing a crucifix in urine.
To answer to the best of *my* ability I take you back to a moment that you might be too young to recall but which *I* recall like it was yesterday...1/20/1961,Washington DC.JFK's Inaugural Address, historic for many reasons, featured a particularly memorable line, directed at the USSR..."we shall support *any* friend and oppose *any* foe (emphasis was JFK's)...."
At some point in the mid to late '60s the Rat Party, with the likes of Teddy and Bobby at the helm, decided to transpose the position of the words "support" and "oppose" and adopt that reworked quote as the party's basic manifesto.
And that,IMO,is how the Religion of Pieces came to be respected and Christianity came to be so despised.
