I saw a really bad one on the local news last night. It seems a family had filed a non-emergency report of a crime (I don’t recall what, vandalism or something), so the next day an officer comes out to file a report. He enters the yard and is approached by two medium sized family dogs. Were not talking pitbulls here, they looked from the photos like some kind of shepard/collie mix or something. One is barking at the cop, so he is “afraid for his life” and shoots it. That seems to be the SOP these days.

It’s not just pets.
