I watch it every week with my 10 year old, and we both love the way they’ve not only brought the fairy tale characters to life, but have shown the back story in how the characters came to be, etc.

I think it’s a great show and whoever thought of it, and created the story lines, has great imagination.

I can’t wait for next season.

The wife and I both enjoy this show. Thought it very inventive how the dwarfs get their name. I can go along with pretty much all the characters' back story, but I have to draw the line with Red (Red Riding Hood). Red as a werewolf? Nope. I'm not buying it.

I completely agree!! It’s so nice to see a show with an imagination and something different. You knew when the dragon was slain that was not the end of the story:o)

. . they’ve not only brought the fairy tale characters to life . .

I like the fact the characters are nicely complex. To me, the most creative thing about the series is how they've taken one-dimensional storybook characters who were filling a story role to make a simple point (not to represent 'real' people) and made them 'real'.

The good guys have weaknesses. The bad guys have some good qualities. The enemy of my enemy is not necessarily my friend because there are more than two sides.

My biggest complaint about most of the series was that the episodes were largely 'downers' without any humor or hope. And yes, I know the nature of the underlying 'curse' was that all the 'happy endings' were taken away, but the stories could still have some humor in them. Hitchcock did it all the time.

But overall we keep watching. Seeing new depth in stories that we've all known for a long time is a sign of respectable creativity.
