Why would anyone want to buy the little POS.

It is a death trap, way too small, no room, an advertised gas mileage of 28 to 32 which is about the same as a Camry.
The price is about the same as a Camry too, at $22,000 for the straight stick model while the Toyota has automatic for that price.

Unles you just have top have an Italian car that still looks like the Fiat they built in 1960 but with less gas mileage , take a pass.

The 170 hp version is fine if you want to hot rod the little toy, but if you want a race car-—buy one.

My daughter had her third child a couple of months ago. We went to visit.

In one of the WORST marketing moves EVER the local Fiat dealer parked one outside the entrance to Magee women's hospital in Pittsburgh.

Remember this is Pittsburgh. Most women here are ...full figured ...to start with.

They are even more full figured when they are pregnant. WAY more.

So let's park this little FIAT right where they have to walk by it to get into the hospital.

Heck my BUTT is bigger than the dang car! Mrs p6 could use two of them for roller skates.

Preggers women were SPITTING at the car because it made them fell fatter than they were. No way could any of them ever hope to fit in it.

That said I had and loved a Fiat X1/9. When Mrs p6 was pregnant with our first child back in 1970 that was the car we had. I used to drive her to work and pick her up right in the center of downtown Pittsburgh. She HATED the car....HATED THE CAR!

To make a long, sad story short she made me give it to her brothers at the family farm 90 miles north of the city. The first thing they did was drive up the neighbor's farm driveway and spin it backwards through the barn door. Undaunted the one brother and a neighbor jammed a couple of cases of beer into the trunk and took it for a joy ride into a remote area along the Shenango river where I had 40 acres.

At high speed on a deserted logging road a shift was missed and the engine blew.

This was before cellphones so they sat and drank until someone came looking for them. After dark....

Then a bunch of them polished off the rest of the beer and used a pick up truck to push the Fiat back to the farm. On the way back the brake lines broke.

Yee-HAW!

The Fiat ended up in the bottom of the cesspool.

As far as I know it's still there...well at least what's left of the rust.

Good times, good times.

A Mercedes dealer had a used one that I checked out. It is tiny and even the Abarth (manual only) isn’t speedy, and mpg is around 30 - not good for something so small.

The exterior, despite the claims of the paid shills in auto mags, isn’t really great; it can be mistaken for a Yaris sedan. In photos it looks cuter than in person. The front seats are actually quite roomy, and will accommodate a taller person than it looks like it ought. And the dash is so girlishly cute and retro it puts a smile on your face.

It’s a toy, not a commuter. Used ones will show up fast.

Sexy....quick...but junk

Nearest worst cars.....Range Rovers

I would fear anything Italian car wise

Take the car....leave the Bellucci....the latter is something Italy makes the best......gorgeous women who love being women

The two leading Axis partners make the best cars....

Be happy drive Nazi or Imperial Jap

Too much hype and “glamour” around the “new” Fiats. I remeber the cinquecento of the 60s/70s - real piece of crap with a 500 cc motoprcycle engine and toothed rubber grommets at the end of the axles to drive the wheels - kept from breaking expensive parts of one popped the clutch too much. I would give it a year or three to settle in to the point where there is a track record before even considering a test drive - perhaps the hype is part of the deal to try to salvage a miniscule part of the Itlalian economy. My mind keeps hearing Yugo commercials and seeing the things fall apart from under the “proud” new owners.
