Actually, I think it's pretty funny. The song is about a girl who rejects all the boys who want her, because they're not good enough to fulfill her romance-novel fantasies. She becomes obsessed by this handsome, well-built guy next door, who turns out to be gay.

It's like the familiar wail of women about how the most attractive guys keep turning out to be either married or gay. Well here's a clue girls: the handsome straight guys will likely be grabbed early. Meanwhile, it's the gay guys who spend the most time obsessing about grooming, dressing well, and toning their bodies.
