Do you remember all the hell that was raised back during the Bush administration when some office at NASA said he had to have his papers reviewed before he presented them?
I'd be willing to bet he is the only employee of NASA (or any other large government of private organization) that does not have to submit his papers for review for technical accuracy and potential copyright/patent protection, as well as legal and public relations approval before publishing.
Every organization I know of, government or private, does the same thing. I know, I reviewed hundreds of deadly boring technical papers over the years for a private company. But Hansen thinks he should be exempt from that kind of overview and refused to submit them for prior review.
For a guy with zero accomplishments in his life, he sure has a high opinion of himself.
I remember that one.
Hansen's mentality is that he is an untounchable Federale. He could care less about you or me in the private productive sector. If you suffer from zero carbon emissions schemes or if coal fired plants are shut down. His target audience is other Gov't workers and politicians on the state and Federal level. His target audience is also NGOs and universities getting lots of Federale funding for dubious climate research
People in the real world of profits and losses don't believe his garbage so he mostly ignores them (us). He knows subliminally that we have his number. Both him and Algore refuse to engage in debates because they would lose to more nimble and intelligent private sector challengers and a few university climate dissidents too.
