I don’t know about this cancer-study-link but baking soda and water is an age old cure for an upset stomach - a teaspoon in water - but make sure it’s stirred very well - you don’t want to be drinking it grainy, I’ve read it can do harm.

Baking Soda for brushing your teeth is great too and for use as an exfoliant for your skin

For years I have relied on baking soda for infrequent indigestion, and as a kid, I remember using it when out of toothpaste.

I’ve been using baking soda to brush my teeth for the last 45 years. I’ve had one new cavity in that time. At 65 I still have most of my teeth. The worst thing for my teeth is popcorn kernels as I love to crack them.

I keep backing soda by my bed in case I have acid reflux. Wet your finger,dip in baking soda and swallow. Kills the acid on contact.
