I guess either the cheetahs or the D’Mellos (maybe soon
the ex-D’Mellos) could have thought/said that.

I don’t understand why people try to anthropomorphize
animals to the extent that they think the animal
will always behave in an appropriate human manner
and not resort to animal hunting/survival behaviour...

Exactly. What a stroke of genius - cheetahs in a petting zoo! What a wonderful idea, to invite young children to stroke the fur of large carnivores. I'm sure nothing could possibly go wrong, especially since cheetahs' normal prey is about the same size as a young child. /sarc off

I have to give Mrs. D'Mello credit for helping the child. Even so, she and the other "adults" in this fiasco need their heads examined, especially the parents who let their kids in that cage. And Mr. D'Mello...pathetic.
