A motorcycle is a death trap plain and simple. Several years ago on a trip to Arkansas a bike passed me at well over 100 miles per hour. I was going 80. Twenty minutes later I came on an accident the bike had struck a pickup head on.

Both drivers were killed, I stopped and spoke with the State Trooper.

There's a reason they're called "Donorcycles."

The whole crotch rocket mentality, with bizarrely excessive speeds for public roadways, has a lot to do with it. Combine that with poor visibility to the point that other drivers pull out without the motorcycle visually registering, and you have a recipe for serious injury or death.

If you want the rush of high speeds, in any sort of vehicle, join a club with access to a track. Don’t do it on public roads, more lives than your own are at stake.

Feel bad for the driver of the pickup.

I went to the article and it appears that there were no motorcycles involved in this accident...just wondering why all the talk about motorcycles. Did I miss something?
