April 28th, Tillamook, Experienced sky diver, Matt A. Gold from salt Lake City, fell to his death when his parachute failed to deploy. Jumped from a paramotor at 1500ft.

My second parachute jump was from a static line. I had released the harness from it's strap, which goes through the legs. Without that being secure, I fell out of my harness. No reserve, because it's attached to the rigging.

At opening shock, I felt the harness begin to slide away in one one thousandth of a second. I reflexedly extended my arms, catching ahold of the loop of rigging which normally encircles my legs. As the enormity of what just about killing me, I wasn't ready to land on the ground. My right ankle was just slightly inclined to midline. It snapped and broke. However, I consider my broken ankle an example of divine mercy to this very day.
