That fits the paleness of that side of his head. It's in the sun. Or did you really think his skin tone would appear uniform,regardless of light and shadow?

I'm not so sure about the head, but the scarf makes the neck disappear and produces a strange effect.

Obama's Harvard pictures have a similar "big-headedness":

Maybe the president is a different guy from the one who went to Harvard.

Or maybe he had his noggin surgically reduced somewhere along the way.

Regarding the head: Obama *is* a naturally scrawny guy. I would imagine that in his youth he was really thin, which would make his head look big. Now that he’s 50, he should have picked up a little weight and “filled out”.
