Sounds like a liberal with the excuse of 'someone elses fault'. Some parents are hard to deal with and you're better off not having to deal with them. I feel sorry for the child.

As passionate as you are about music the parent must be a real prize!

If it's one out of 10...let it go and know you did your best. I could never be any kind of teacher..I'd be fired on the first day...lol.

Well, this is what happened.
NONE of the clubhouses have pianos, so I PURCHASED and electric piano for the recital, schlepped ALL the equipment in, set it up, and did the show. The little girl was startle by the difference in the sound and so she declined to play the last of her four songs because she was afraid she would mess up. I totally understood and was supportive, but when the mother asked why she didn’t play the last song I blithely said...”well that little piano isn’t a Steinway”, in effect, taking responsibility for the little not-so-great piano. Well SHE took this as a very snippy and offensive statement (she HAS a Steinway!) and called me this morning and reamed me out on the phone. She hurt me deeply, and brought me to tears. I am just as happy not to go there anymore, but being falsely accused is one of my “buttons” unfortunately. It takes a while to get over it. Maybe i should sit down and watch Mel Gibson’s “The PASSION” to get my indignation out of my system, eh?
