By nominating their own pro-choice democrat socialist the Republicans have already ceded the election to Obama.

EV, I'm interested to know why you think Obama will win, other than the standard reasons we've heard. You've certainly been in this arena so I'd suspect you can see some of the plays before they happen.

Look, a candidate whose own supporters have to start every sentence with, “Yeah, I hate him too, but...” is doomed. It’s not rocket science.

I don’t know what EV’s answer is, but I think it is funny that the Obama campaign is trying to portray Romney as a right wing zealot, and there is a reason for that. If Romney is seen as a moderate, with the economy, esp the housing market, being as bad as it is, then states like Oregon and Washington will be in play, just like 1980. Thats why it is kind of funny that as Obama is calling him a right winger, conservatives are calling him a socialist. What a strange election cycle.
