MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Disbelieving eyes followed the arc of the first three-point shot, and as it splashed into the net, they became wider.

By the second consecutive make, jaws began to fall.

By the third, which seemed to float and then fall through in slow motion, there was only silence.

Said Clippers forward Kenyon Martin: "It got quiet."

By then, with 1 minute 47 seconds left in the fourth quarter of the Clippers' 99-98 win at FedEx Forum on Sunday, many in the sellout crowd of 18,119 could only look around in disbelief, trying to reaffirm with others that what they witnessed was real.

But it was.

Clippers guard Nick Young really did bury three consecutive three-pointers in the span of exactly one minute of game time in the fourth quarter, slicing a 12-point Memphis lead to three.

Each of his shots came in transition off passes from Chris Paul, and Young said, "I felt like I couldn't miss."

This series is going to be incredible....Memphis is a very good team.

Clippers have been pulling these late game comebacks all year.

But this one ties an NBA record for the playoffs....they say.

Not sure what the earlier one was.

I saw the game..biggest epic fail EVER by Memphis..they basically quit trying, assuming the game was over. You never stop playing no matter how big the lead til the game is over. No lead is ever safe

I don't think they quit,...but they did think their 3 point shooting would continue as hot as they were in the first half.

Clippers stayed even with them thru the second and third quarters then launced their comeback....mephis might have got frustrated that they couldn't put them away,...and got fractic....

Guess the conversation will be continuing ....damn it was beyond some of the Clippers best comebacks of the year.

And they have had a bunch against some very good teams.

Memphis is known for their good defense yet they allowed Nick Young to shoot 3 after 3 after 3(Which is what he is known for and why the Clippers got him) without even guarding him. He was shooting from the same spot(Its actually the same spot he always uses) it sucks for Memphis since they have to simmer in this til Wednesday.
When the Lakers did the same thing against the Celtics in 2008, at least it happened in the span of two quarters..this happened in a span of 5 minutes it was unreal. When it happened to us it ruined us and cost us the series. Will see how the Grizzlies respond
