Romney is not seeking to overturn the American system of free enterprise and replace it with international (European style) socialism. It can certainly be argued that Romney will take us closer to socialism by expansions of government or letting existing expansions continue. But there is a much better chance of economic recovery under Romney which will take away some of the arguments by the leftists for socialism.

My question still stands, what are the actual practical consequences of Mormonism in the White House? I want to know how bad it is going to be to tell me why I should keep Obama in office.

BHO shouldn’t stay in office, the question “will be Romney be any different”, the answer is no.
Romney is who he is because of his mormonism (because you brought it up) not in spite of it.
