Word For The Day, Monday, 4/30/12
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
Bemuse;transitive verb CLICK THE WORD FOR PRONUNCIATION
: to make confused : puzzle, bewilder 2: to occupy the attention of : distract, absorb 3: to cause to have feelings of wry or tolerant amusement be·mus·ed·ly \-ˈmyü-zəd-lē\ adverb be·muse·ment \-ˈmyüz-mənt\ noun
Etymology: "to make utterly confused," from be- + muse (cf. amuse), attested from 1735 but probably older, as Pope (1705) punned on it as "devoted utterly to the Muses."

Great Draft article Neo - we were bemused by the Weeden pick for the Browns as well!
Wow, in your area that had to be a good sign!
My uncle wants to waterboard the whole front office.
I was so nervous I forgot to watch the Rangers game Sat. DH and I were to do the roasting together, BUT he got toned out and left me with microphone duties. Intros and the roasting were all mine. OMG...I just dug in and got started...it went ok, surprisingly well, in fact. There were only about 45 people there, but still...I was nervous till it was OVER.
It can be difficult to speak in front of a crowd but obviously you did fine! Hubby owes you for leaving you up there alone though!
I loved the Saints “D” rating. lol
i do love that one!
do not tell me you are some bandwagoneer hockey fan who doesn’t watch all year and suddenly is cheering in the playoffs! People in DC are driving us insane by suddenly acting like they are Caps fan, when they haven’t paid a lick of attention all year long!
Trust me when I say I filled her in on the CNN doctoring of the 911 tape, the real age and appearance of Trayvon, and the background of Zimmerman. Her only reply, other than shock, was to say "but 911 told him not to follow him"..... I asked her why, if the kid was really afraid of Zimmerman, did he continue to lurk around rather than go the 12 second walk to the apartment? Instead he went straight to Zimmerman. She then said "but they never investigated it".....What???? I explained they even took Zimmerman to the police station in the back of a squad car - fully investigated with eye witnesses. She absolutely knew none of this. And she voted Bammy last time and if she bothers to vote I'm sure she will vote for him again.
Those kind are liberals bc it’s COOL, much like meghan MOOcain. who was pictured together with FLUKE at the WHCD. skanks of a feather hang together@!
I think the populace is bemused by what they think they are going to get for free from his “stash”.

His sixth album, and it went gold in 73...(and Platinum 13 years later)...Gold, at a time where we were between the Everly Brothers, and Disco.
Just had a funny moment at work.
The lady who works on rights of ways said “do you put the depths in there?” Which caused the IT guy to smirk which cracked me up.
Ya, where is my Obamamoney?

Actually, I caught their hockey game at Outback bar while eating and got hooked. Found out my eldest son is a huge Ranger’s fan, so we were following along and texting him as the game progressed. I actually enjoyed it. Surprise, surprise.
