Wow! Great gif, Jack. Thanks so much for posting it. I never realized that the totality footprint was so tiny.
I like to watch partial eclipses bare eyed under a tree. The dappled sunlight turns into little crescent moons all over the ground. Also, if you're stuck on concrete, you can make a small aperture with your fingers and see the same effect.
Lazy gal's way of watching without eyeball damage, LOL!
