'Warming hole' delayed climate change over eastern United States: study

While greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane warm the Earth's surface, tiny particles in the air can have the reverse effect on regional scales.
"What we've shown is that particulate pollution over the eastern United States has delayed the warming that we would expect to see from increasing greenhouse gases," says lead author Eric Leibensperger (Ph.D. '11), who completed the work as a graduate student in applied physics at SEAS.
"For the sake of protecting human health and reducing acid rain, we've now cut the emissions that lead to particulate pollution," he adds, "but these cuts have caused the greenhouse warming in this region to ramp up to match the global trend."
At this point, most of the "catch-up" warming has already occurred.

:) Take a few elementary school children aside. CO2 is a trailing indicator.

It’s almost May.
I’ve ridden my Harley only *twice* this spring [and was cold while doing so] and I am, as we speak, freezing my skinny ass off sitting here in W.MD, where it *snowed* west of me, just a few days ago.
My Mulberries got frost blasted.
Global warming causes global cooling.
Greenhouse effect causes ice age.
Bollocks.

Take 2 carbonated beverages (that contain co2.) Let one warm up. Shake them both up equally. The warmer one will contain less carbon dioxide. It is inherent to most liquids, especially water. The oceans contain less gas. This is why...

I’m sure it’ll have an easy time ‘catching up’ because I’ll be flopped over, dead of hypothermia.

And to think people are seriously thinking of bailing out student loans. The matter-of-factness of this anti-student is just astounding.
When the day of reckoning comes, and the age-old alliance between the Anointed and their education monopoly comes crashing down, as it has time and time again for the past 7000 years, it will be a very ugly time for hot-house flowers like this student.
Put me in the foxhole with Ted Nugent, any day.

Okay, let's see if I got this. These particles that little Eric is talking about are
able to remain in place despite 400 mile an hour tradewinds.Okay, got it.

One more example of the over-educated, under-intelligent university crowd that the Liar-in-Chief has extolled as the leaders of the future.

"For the sake of protecting human health and reducing acid rain, we've now cut the emissions that lead to particulate pollution," he adds, "but these cuts have caused the greenhouse warming in this region to ramp up to match the global trend." That's interesting. He just said that environmental regulations are causing global warming.
