Mentally ill sex perverts have infiltrated comics big time. Even "Archie" has fags in it now.
Things from 1930s culture that certainly didn't appear homosexual to people at the time -- if they even had concepts of "gay" or "homosexual" -- get reinterpreted by our contemporaries and turned into things they weren't. Start with the sculptures at Rockefeller Center and the New York World's fair and move on from there.
But 60s Adam West/Burt Ward Batman and Robin were so "campy" that it's hard not to find a gay subtext in their shows. Maybe West always seemed to be out of breath because he was always aroused.
So what’s next? Is Superman a tranny??
CBS did a Batman (Adam West, Burt Ward) reunion some years ago. Burt Ward was sort of narrating and said as much. It was actually kind of nostalgic. I always had a thing for Julie Newmar. Anyway, if you want to laugh (or be shocked), check out superdickery.com . This gay thing with our superheroes has been going on for 70+ years.
“hes more interested in hanging out with the old guy and the kid.””
Hmmmmmmmmmm...using that same argument...does that mean Batman is also a pedophile?
Just as Bruce Wayne (Batman) will not use a gun - he would NEVER do anything to harm a child that age.
What is “that age”? About the age that Bruce was when he saw his parents gunned down.
So why does he want to see a child the same age as he was taking on armed men and beating them?
To torture himself that he could have/should have done SOMETHING - even as a young boy - to prevent his parents being killed.
He wants to prove that a “Boy Wonder” could take on and win against an armed man. To torture himself that he did nothing.
If anyone has a better take on the subject than this I have yet to hear it.
Grown men writing and reading comic books seems a bit gay to me, but hey, each to his own.
I really liked "In The Closet Man" better
I remember reading something years ago about the 1960s Batman TV show. The character of “Aunt Harriet” was written into the show because the network (ABC) did not like the idea of Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, and Alfred living together in a house with no women. They insisted that a female character be added to the regular cast. During the third season, the character of Batgirl was added, but I think that was done primarily to try to boost ratings, which were starting to sink at that point. ( I loved Batgirl!)
He is wearing a Speedo with a silk cape!
