The new issue [of Playboy] features an interview with [current Batman comics writer] Grant Morrison, talking superheroes.
This is the kind of thing he says
"Gayness is built into Batman. Im not using gay in the pejorative sense, but Batman is very, very gay. Theres just no denying it. Obviously as a fictional character hes intended to be heterosexual, but the basis of the whole concept is utterly gay. I think thats why people like it. All these women fancy him and they all wear fetish clothes and jump around rooftops to get to him. He doesnt carehes more interested in hanging out with the old guy and the kid."

He is wearing a Speedo with a silk cape!
“Ironically I find that a lot of young people who are into anime may not overtly call themselves conservatives but they beleive in a lot of the principles of conservatism and liberatianism.”
Exactly. Almost every hero aside from the obvious high school male kid, surrounded by beautiful girls harem’ has the embodiment of conservatism. Try Zetman where the hero is just a kid who wants just stop the evil monsters using his monster powers which were not his in the first place. Even from Code Geass to Gundam, the heroes just want to prevail over evil. Period.
No wonder I’m more into manga..
No wonder I noticed Batman getting gay in the late 80’s! lol
Even with the dialogue, it’s disconcerting.
Bruce Wayne had a ‘defining moment’ when he was that age, standing still while his parents were gunned down- and is for SOME reason interested in training a child that age to beat armed men.......
Hmmmmmmm.
