Too bad. Local press reports say that he was an ex-Marine who had served in Iraq. He and his friends were in town from Indiana for a Cubs game. The “EL” station is about 10 EL stops (20 minutes)north of Wrigley. There are many welcoming pubs in the area around the now lively Wrigley neighborhood and the 20 and 30 something boys and girls often party on into the wee hours, even after day games. Mostly its just good times. But every once in a while, something like this happens. The young man was from out of town—even an overserved Chicagoan would think twice before descending onto the track bed. So sad.
