Does anybody else find it slightly amusing in a sad sort of way that our culture does everything to promote sex at the youngest age possible and the School System teaches Sex Education at an early age and passes out free birth control and condomss....but then everybody goes ape-sh*t when the kids actually take them up on the offer?

The kids should both face disciplinary action at school and at home. Then the parents of both students should face disciplinary action. Then the teachers and administrators should face disciplinary action.

Finally, the prosecutor should be taken out and shot in public to be made an example of where the kind of judgment that leads a 12 year old and 14 year old to have sex at school will get you.

What do they classify as sex? Touching or general groping??

Heck 3/4 of males in this country would be charged with "rape" at the same age back in years/decades past.

Just as a 17 year old boy and 17 year old girl no problem but if the boy turns 18 one day later it's rape.

Warehouses. Like a place to store a commodity until needed. Children are just an accessory to gain cultural acceptance to many people and they need a place to keep them during the day.

I agree. In fact, girls mature sexually a few years sooner than boys. If it was said to be consensual by the participants, there is no rape.

I think the parents of each should be sodomized (against their will) for bad parenting.... Have I gone to far?

It is shocking because most 14 year olds having sex at school are having sex with their TEACHERS, not other students.

It does not have to be at schools. Who here didn't mess around in your parents basement with the girl next door (or boy next door if you are a woman) at that age? That is part of growing up.

This one's tough. I don't think he should be off the hook, but I'm not sure he belongs on the dreaded sex offender list for the rest of his life over a 2 year age difference. That said, there's a big difference between 14 and 12.

And yes, I know that 12 and 14 year olds shouldn't be doing that, but I'm looking at this from the 'law' and 'charges' aspect of this case.
