What a drama queen. Bet he didn't think for a moment to try to re-assure those around him. Nope, it was about being part of the story and all about him. Sheesh, they can fly with one engine. Still, the best thing is to emergency land. I'm glad things turned out well.

After watching the movie, "Knowing", with the scene of an airliner coming down in front of the lead character and it's horrific special-effects, I wonder what I would do in such circumstances if heading down. Don't we all?

Remember Flight 93! Our civilian best...LET'S ROLL!

I saw that film. The plane crash scene was awesome! It was so unexpected, loud, realistic, and dramatic. I loved that movie!

I have a fair amount of experience in civilian aircraft (never military)...A380 down to a 15 seater whatever, and everything in between.I've been in one or two situations where I was *somewhat* concerned, but not panic stricken,in the air;a sudden, extreme "dive" in a 707 flying from Cairo to Dar Es Salaam being the most memorable.Perhaps your Navy experience gives you a knowledge advantage over us amateurs.
