Acting very much like the GOP nominee, Mitt Romney sent a curt message to President Obama today: Start packing.
The message, delivered with a chuckle, came in an exclusive interview with World News anchor Diane Sawyer who asked the presumptive GOP nominee if he had something to say to the president.
Romney said Obamas policies have not helped the American people. They have not helped get jobs, they have not helped raise incomes and theyve added trillions of dollars of debt.
He was backed by his wife of 43 years, Ann Romney, who told Sawyer she also had a message for Obama. I believe its Mitts time Its our turn now, she said.
See the exclusive interview tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET on World News With Diane Sawyer and 11:35 p.m. ET on Nightline.
Last week, the Romney campaign was able to flip the Democrats so-called war on women strategy by highlighting a Democratic strategists attacks on Ann Romney for never holding a job. Ann Romney told a GOP fundraiser this weekend that the failed Democratic talking point had been a birthday gift.

I believe its Mitts time Its our turn now,
Your turn? How on earth did it get to be YOUR turn?
“A birthday present to me”.
Sorry Ann....you came from a wealthy family and married into wealth...and there’s absolutley nothing wrong with that. Good on you. But...to try to pretend to be hurt about your ‘choice’ to stay home and raise your 5 sons as if that made you special or gave you some insight on the rest of us, well sorry...in this case I ain’t buying your concern. To me, in my humble opinion...that’s the same hubris as saying the White House is yours and it’s your turn.
I’m sure Ann is a very nice woman and has been/is a great wife and mother. But it’s her husband that is running for office and I can’t stand to look at him, let alone vote for him. I can’t think of any areas where I agree w/ Romney. And if I could find some area of agreement...I’m sure he would have a ‘new’ position that would be 180 degrees from where he started and would be opposite of my beliefs.
Blech. Ann, you seem nice enough, but I ain’t gonna vote for Willard MITTens Romney. Down ticket is where my efforts will be placed.
Mitsy keeps referring to Obama as a “Failure”. McCain would never speak those words no matter how true they ring.
My tag line used to be ‘Romney Sucks’ I interviewed the dope in college and asked him about his support of abortion and his aides got pissed at me. But I will vote for the dope in the general, I’m not ready to commit haraki and give 0bama another four years. I hate Romney, but I hate Obama more.
fwiw....the Dems are trailing badly in yesterday’s generic congressional ballot:

Like I said...for what it’s worth....as of today, it is a mid-April poll. But if I were Pelosi, I don’t think I’d be getting out those old Speaker’s office curtains again just yet.
