I’m amazed that a FReeper hasn’t heard of a Fisker.
Isn’t this Algore’s electric car company from Norway or somewhere like that? I think they are built with U.S. taxpayer dollars.
It’s been posted here many times.
The Fisker Karma is a plug-in hybrid luxury sports sedan produced by Fisker Automotive and manufactured at Valmet Automotive in Finland.

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rated the Karma’s combined city/highway fuel economy at 52 mpg-US (4.5 L/100 km; 62 mpg-imp) equivalent (MPG-e) in all-electric mode, and at 20 mpg
Yuppie mobile, and I bet it costs a bundle.
Volt = Dolt Auto
Lets face it, electric cars are simply a bad idea except on the golf course.

Great looking car, which one would expect from a world class designer (Henrik Fisker). It’s going to flop because the price/features/performance ratio isn’t good. The thing weighs over 5,000 pounds. There’s nothing eco about it.
Why would name a karma? But the German did it first.
I think they also make cat food.
Justin Bieber bought one and decided to have it completely chromed and thus blinding innocent bystanders with it. You can read and see it here. http://www.autoblog.com/2012/04/10/justin-bieber-chromes-his-fisker-karma-henrik-just-happy-for-th/#continued
Sorry to say but your friend is a fool. Take appropriate precautions with their stupidity.

Justin Bieber owns one.
I can’t think of a better reason NOT to own one.
nice scissors, lousy cars.
I took my brother down to Stanford hospital in January and we went past a Fisker dealership in Palo Alto. I had to look on the internet to find out what a Fisker was. It was right beside a Mclaren dealership. I at least had heard of Mclarens.
I haven’t seen one on the road yet. They look good but they don’t run. Guess that why they get good mileage. If you can’t move the mileage is always great.
I wonder what other great projects Obama has in mind. Like the N. Korean rocket that didn’t make it. Obama keeps making the wrong choices. Solyandra anyone?
From the post referenced below:
Judicial Watchs FOIA request regarding Fiskers missed milestones is part of a comprehensive Judicial Watch investigation into the Obama administrations bailout of this failing automobile manufacturer.
The Obama administrations response to this simple FOIA request is not only dishonest it is insulting to the American people. How dare the Obama Department of Energy take over half-a-billion dollars from the taxpayers and then tell them its none of their business whether these funds were put to good use! I suspect the information on these blacked out pages of records is embarrassing to the Obama administration. But embarrassment is not a valid reason for withholding records. The Fisker scandal is debacle for taxpayers and the Obama administration is in cover-up mode, stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

The EV was so dead that it required a trip to the factory and $40,000 in repairs to fix before returning to Consumer Reports to finish testing. Word has it that the CR testers are so spooked by the car's unreliability the will not drive the car outside cell phone range in case it dies again!
