It is remarkable tribute to the power and truth of conservative ideas - that even a Hollywood liberal deliberately working to caricature conservative beliefs, inadvertently motivated you that way, in your youth!

We need to keep working together, to wrest control of the increasingly blatant propaganda-media, out of the grip of that statist oligopoly which now brainwashes American youth with the efficiently of Orwell’s Ministry of Truth.

For too long, we have surrendered education and media to ... communists.

Oddly enough, it was a constant exposure to different political ideas growing up that made me a staunch conservative. That and a profound love of history.

My parents were very conservative; both had copies of “None Dare Call It Treason” around the home. But my maternal grandfather, immigrant from Macedonia, was a member of the Socialist Worker’s Party. I remember him repeatedly agitating me to be a socialist (at age six, no less!).

While in high school, I read “The Essential Works of Socialism,” “Expansion & Co-Existence” (a history of Soviet Foreign Policy) and several books tracing the ideological rise of socialism/communism and it’s evolution through the Soviet state, Comintern, and it’s leftist front groups in the west.

I was a Political Science major at Indiana University from 1977-1981. Most, if not all, of my professors ranged from very liberal to anarcho-communist. All along my political journey, I questioned, reasoned and thought independently about the competing political systems. I accept nothing as “dogma” and subject everything political to critical analysis. I even try to be objective.

I am, and always have been, a political conservative. Because I know the alternative is evil.
