I recall, one evening while waiting for rush hour to die down before heading home, I was on my way to the library at my university (this was about a couple of years ago, I think shortly after I began graduate school) and took a brief trip into the nearby Arts & Humanities building to use the restroom.
The stall I used had a similar hole, and some of the etchings ‘advertised’ a particular time of the week.
Once I realized what the hole and message signified, I bolted out of there as quickly as I could.
Never used a restroom in the building again.
/of all places, WHY IN A PUBLIC RESTROOM?!
