We have clay here in Virginia. I was wondering if this would work for pepers as well. Got Sweet, Jalapeno, Red Roasters, and Habanero. I figured I would can and make stewed tomatoes and Salsa in August, Sept. etc.

Sorry, I have no idea. I don’t garden.
I just threw our local weatherman’s tomato formula in there because he is so famous for his tomatoes.

I harvested that last of ours February 1....we’re in the low desert of Kalifornia, and we put out the seedlings in mid-September.

Wow...impressive. I am in East Texas. In as much as the plants quit blooming at 95 degrees, If I can keep them going after the heat sets in ( by watering) and can carry them into the fall this year, I will see if I get any revival in production. I haven’t done that before. It is feasible that I could get a fall crop for the first time.
