Um, this is really weird. How about making the stadium railings structured so idiots can’t tumble to their deaths when reaching for baseballs. Just a suggestion. More useful than monuments to human failing.

The NHL puts up netting now behind the goals to prevent pucks [shot on goal] from deflecting into the crowd. This was in response to the death of a young girl at a Columbus Blue Jackets game. She was hit in the temple by a deflected puck ...

Well, if you do that, then the higher level railing will interfere with people watching the games. I’d hate to spend good money on a ticket and then spend the whole game tryin to look thru a bright red bar....

The railings are high enough. People just need to use a little common sense when balls are hit towards them. The Dad was a firefighter, he should have known better.
