Venus is just as close to the Earth more than once a year; and, at that distance, it has much less tidal influence on the Earth than either the Moon or the more distant Sun — IOW, yes, just a coincidence.

...HOWEVER, in 2004, the last time this happened, two OTHER events of major historical significance ocurred after the astronomical events involving Venus, the Sun, and the Seven Sisters, namely,

1. Texan Lance Armstrong won an unprecedented SIXTH straight
Tour de France, and
2. Texan Dan Rather (although his credentials as such are
frequently challenged) was exposed as a Democrat Party MSM operative in an unprecedented manner.

So, you can expect an unprecented event in the field of sports, and politics, as well a major earthquake later this year. Write that down.
